Maybe Fred was 26 when he started on PureBasic, so he used the Z. Like how 13 is associated with marijuana.

I continue thinking the "Z" comes from BlitZ, because PB is inspired on BlitzBasic, (that's pure Fred's psychology)
But, how is possible a thread from 2001 and the first registered user in PBForum was Fred in 2002?? (You can see it by clicking on "Memberlist" at top of forums page)

Aha! Another mystery uncovered by the SuperSleuth! And now the paranormal aspects of PureBasic (and the author of same) are becoming chillingly, nay, terrifyingly, um, paranormal.Psychophanta wrote:But, how is possible a thread from 2001 and the first registered user in PBForum was Fred in 2002??

The forums were not initially hosted where they are now. There was a big
upgrade back in 2002, and the old forums were migrated to the new phpBB
forums that they are now. All user data was reset due to this, and that's
why you often see a message like this on the older topics:

A quick browse of the topic subjects there will show just how far PureBasic has come!
