PureCrypt: Warning! or Public Service Announcement!

Post by Hatonastick »

Sorry I wasn't quite sure where to put this, but as PureCrypt is my library and it was announced around here somewhere I thought it might be a good idea to place my warning here. :)

It has been brought to my attention by Kukulkan that there is a serious bug in the PureCrypt library that prevents it from being used with certain standard PureBASIC libraries. As far as I can tell, mostly libraries that deal with images or icons. It looks like I am allocating memory from the PureBASIC heap (like most inbuilt libraries do I believe) in an incorrect manner and although I asked about this forum some time back if I was doing the right thing, people would just direct me to the rather scant documentation and examples in the Library SDK. Normally that wouldn't worry me as I'd just whack away until I worked it out, but I think I need help from someone with a bit of C experience (so they know where I'm coming from on this one) and knowledge on the internal workings of PureBASIC as I would really like to make this library useful for the PureBASIC community. :)

Unfortunately I also happen to be in the process of moving house so I am unlikely to be able to do much about this for a month or maybe a little more (or maybe a little less). :) Considering we don't actually have a house to go to yet makes this an interesting situation. :)
Please forgive my poor English, I'm an Australian.
