I have been working on a couple of games in PB, however I may soon be porting to another language as Windowed games in PB tend to eat up 90+% CPU usage and there is not a "feasible" way to get around this.

Seems to be a common problem. I have downloaded several games by others that have the problem. I spent four hours sifting through the forums the other day and saw numerous threads from people with the same issue and no real solution to the issue. If you have a solution, I would love to hear it?

http://www.restricted-area.net/

PureBasic seems to have been involved. Not sure to what degree.
But Fred is credited in the game too I heard.
(haven't played it) Reviews wasn't so bad,
though the english translated one did get some flack over the voice actors.

Anyone got a cle if the game was made in PureBasic or
if only parts of it was?

And if PureBasic has been involved maybe some of them is registered in this forum...
Was anyone here involved in making Restricted Area :?:

If I remember correctly there was restricted area listed in "Games written with PureBasic" on http://www.purebasic.com/links.php3 and now is removed from a list. Was it a marketing trick or something ?

I am almost sure Restricted Area was written in PB.

At least a game which this software company released just before RA was written in PB, I am sure about that. It's called 'Krakout Unlimited 2'. Krakout Unlimited 1 was written in BlitzBasic :D

Anyway, I own Restricted Area and it's quite a good game. It's some kind of Diablo 2, in a very dark fictional future (in the year 2083, the proper name of the game is Restricted Area 2083). Has this something to do with the novel 1984 by George Orwell? 2083 is 99 years later... Maybe they started coding the game in `99.... However, the game is good and I like it a lot. However, it's very bugged and Master Creating (the guys that made it) don't really seem to mind...
