Installing PureBasic to a flash drive

Post by Killswitch »

I often find myself in using, fixing or just tinkering with many different computers that don't have PureBasic installed on them. It's frustrating for me as I often find solutions for long term bugs or features that I thought would be impossible to include, sometimes I just want to open up the PB Editor and start hammering out some code.

So, to prevent future 'withdrawel' from PureBasic, I thought about installing it to my flash drive. Then I could carry it around with me where ever I go!

Would this

A) Work - does PB write things to the registry so it can only be used on the computer its been installed upon?

B) Be within the licence? I would only have one copy of PureBasic, but I would be able to use it on any computer (providing A is ok).

Thanks for your help!

It works nice from a flash drive, it only writes the *.pb file association in the registry.
Purebasic has a per user license, not a per device license.
So you may use it on as may computers as you want.
