Success stories

Post by techjunkie »

I wrote two utils for work yesterday. Both where used to get rid of obsolete printer drivers on TS / Citrix systems.

It took me about six hours to program them in PB and they worked without problems. :D If I have done the same utils in VC++, it would have taken two - three weeks, and a lot of debugging!!!

Thank you Fred and all the other guys involved in PB!!!

Love to hear things like that.

Something similar - organisation wanted a quick lookup for salespeople so if a customer or prospect was using a brand-x oil the salesfolk could find the properties, match to their own product and offer this instead.

Needed central maintainable database and way to update salesfolk's comps with most recent db, and, obviously the lookup function for sales.

Took about a week part-time with PB. Their software dev dept. was still spec-ing and discussing it, with a 6-8 week expectation on initial delivery. :)

About 1 week later the db had been populated by clerical staff, and about 1 week (and a couple of fine-tunes) later it was operational and in operation. And still is, almost a year later.
