In agreement, is almost the same as 'Visual Designer' .... but with some differences:

- More stable.
- More options:

- fast Assignment of Skins.
- fast Assignment of color to the gadgets.
- fast Assignment of background images.
- Easy maintenance and modification of the windows without affecting al remainder of the project.
- . . .

In final, is not an indispensable tool, But it is recommendable for lose not time in creating the environment in the PB editor... to execute it and to see if is as I want... to return to change it... to execute again. ...

(Sorry, my English very is limited: D)

Well That wont attract me to it.
If it had importers for current visual designer projects.. that'd be a step forward: Paul stop spamming and work on the importers!  also import a pb and it will generate the forms based on the found code... if it finds openwindow() then create a new form in your program, thats not supported yet though!?!

Agree :)

It would be even better if it could import VD windows and gadgets and as you say, import from PB code.

Its a good idea I dont see how Paul didnt thought about it?, it should be added. doesnt matter if I like the tool or not.. it should be added.

zikitrake: you were working on a gadget editor right? I remember it and it wasnt bad at all.. you should continue it, I dont want to make a flame war but it was starting to look nicer than the original PB one, if you can get those features I mentioned.. I'll definetly use it. Hope you dont charge - much - for it :?

I was working in it, but at present I am very busy in my daily work.

even so, I expect that soon I can take up again the project, although we will wait for that Beriko free his new version of Visual Designer.

All of this discussion about PureVision enticed me to look further into the product.

I have just purchased PureVisionXP!

Looks like dagcrack's discussion turned into product advertisment for Paul, ;)

I think what dagcrack is saying is that people with very few postings (heck even myself as I don't even have 50 yet) can look very questionable when they come into a thread and start praising a product that is being discussed.

I think that is why it is important on this or any other forum for people with very few postings to make a point other than just give a one liner praise or flame on something. Else it could be looked at as 'spamming' in of it's self.

Hope that makes sense. Not trying to stir up anything, just making an observation. I am pretty new here myself so please just looking at it as ramblings of a newbie.

I did not mean to offend anyone on the forum and I apologize if I have.

I was just expressing the fact that I found the PureVision product could be a worthwhile and helpful tool for me. I would not expect it to be for everyone as we all have our own styles and preferences.

I have been dabbling in PureBasic for a year now. I joined the forum July 14th, 2004. No, I have not made a lot of postings however I read the forums on a regular basis to know what is happening with PureBasic and to search for answers when I have questions. It is only by reading these forums and the discussions within that prompted me to look into PureVision. I have been very content using the standard PureBasic IDE and the Visual Designer and find them to be excellent products. I also think that supporting a PureBasic commercial product (if it is right for you) is good for PureBasic itself.

I am not a fake user, just a new user. Sorry to cause any controversy.

Visual Designer

Good for simple projects that don't need much attention or lot's of gadget's

PureVisionXP

Good for huge GUI's that need lot's of attention and switches around...
Skins and some cool stuff (gadget coloring, auto-resizing, etc...)

Ha, ha! That's crazy. I'm definately not a fake user and I'm also on other programming boards (using the same user name.) This thread actually did make me interested in PureVision. I checked the site out and thought it looked pretty interesting.
