Firefox problem with forum

Post by Jimbo_H »

Hi all,

I logged onto my work PC this morning and opened Firefox. When I began browsing the forum, I started getting the following error on every page:

The HTTP request is too long. Contact your system administrator. (HTTP_REQUEST_TOO_LONG)

Any ideas?

It's all working fine for me. Maybe it's just a temp problem at your end?
Or try clearing your cache. The thing with Firefox is that it's very, very
configurable, and people try to optimize its settings via about:config and
this can lead to temp problems when data packets don't arrive fast enough,
etc. Are you using a default config, or have you modded it as described?
I'd say it'll all work fine again the next day. I'd bet money on it, too. :shock:
I compile using 5.31 (x86) on Win 7 Ultimate (64-bit).

Hi PB,

Apart from the extensions that have been installed for weeks, this is the default config. I haven't altered anything in the settings so can't understand why this has started this morning.

I'm using the latest version of Firefox and have cleared all the cache etc.

<EDIT>
Hmmm, cleared the cache for the second time and rebooted. Everything seems to be working again now. Strange.
