So, you want to take a general purpose computer, and force it too run on an architecture which is geared primarily for multimedia/maybei scientific computing uses. And, no one has seen much of anything programmed on these things to date, but were you Jobs you'd bet the company on it?
I just disagree. I initially thought they were crazy for not using Cell, then I started reading up on Cell and learned a bit more. Apple did the only thing they could do, but smarter might have been to go to AMD. But AMD doesn't do chipsets like Intel.
