Getting pointer to the image data in memory?

Everything else that doesn't fall into one of the other PB categories.

traumatics, you're right, every image is converted into the same depth as the screen (a kind of behaviour i do *not* appreciate, to be honest...)

It may be bothersome, but it is almost certainly required if you want any kind of performance to speak of: Imagine if PB had to convert each and every operation 'on the fly' to match the true depth (It would be very slow indeed).

Honestly, this is exactly what I would expect it would do.
