[Implemented] Multiple Servers and Protocols in ONE program

Got an idea for enhancing PureBasic? New command(s) you'd like to see?

[Implemented] Multiple Servers and Protocols in ONE program

Post by Dummy »

We or at least I need the ability to code multiple Servers(same server multiple Ports for different actions) in different Protocols(TCP and UDP)!

Fred, if you don't like UDP, it's your opinion! We or at least I need it!

Yeah, OK! There are already UserLibs for this(UDP), but Most of them are Windows only! We or at least I'd like to program ONE code for both Windows AND Linux!

...btw will the ever be the ability to compile a Linux Executable under Windows/Windows Executable under Linux???

Yea I second the multiple servers and UDP request. Thats definitly a key feature. Right now the networking commands seem a little hacked in and are overall fairly useless for anything but basic stuff.

I wouldn't say that, there performing quite nicely intergrated into an 18million dollar lump of mining drill.

Heh, been over this before :) the network library for PB is missing several basic key features. Hopefully Fred will flesh it out a bit in PB 4.
