Nah, i regard JS as an addition to the HTML language, not a part of it. I thought you needed a seperate interpreter (Virtual Machine) to execute it anyway?Javascript is fairly unique - it isn't a standalone language. You can't write applications *just* using JS (at least not that I know of!). It is interpreted, but is more a superset of HTML than a standalone language..
I agree with you on nearly all your points though, languages shouldn't be slagged off because of being interpreted or compiled, etc.
