FORUM - Search for new posts

Post by helpy »

Hello,

I normally check new posts this way:
  1. I use the link View posts since last visit.
  2. Then I use the icon Image to jump to the newest post of the topic using FireFox and [Ctrl]+[left mouse button]. This way the Page is opened in a new TAB of the browser.
  3. This way I open all the newest posts of various topics each in a new tab.
  4. Then I switch through all the new tabs, to look through the new posts.
  5. This worked in the previous forums very well. But now it only works for the first time I click on "Image topic name". All the other links will show the message "No new posts since your last visit"
    ==> It seems that the board sets the "last-visit-time" imedeatly to the "new-visit-time"
Can you change this behaviour back to the old one?

I do the same, and I still do it :D
Perhaps you have to check your FF cookies preferences...

It works for me too...love firefox :) .... but it does do that if I use switch proxy.... i.e. go from direct connection to a proxy... or vice versa....

Maybe you are doing something similar ?

=> Cookies are allowed!
=> Proxy in Firefox are disabled!

There is one strange thing:

I go to this page with the link:

=> http://forums.purebasic.com

this is forwarded to:

=> index.php

... and then if I login or click on a link the IP-Address is shown:

=> http://forums.purebasic.com/english/...

Maybe this behavior has to do with my described effect at the first posting?
