Really sorry to hear that :( I don't know which comments you mean but your software looks great and it's a sad loss to the community. Hope you'll feel better with time and maybe reconsider.

Take care.

why?? I always liked your software.. You never offended anyone, and i think no one offended you. I havent seen much bad posts about you software... and i really liked it. Now i was even trying to discover a bit of neural networks, but since you wont program it anymore i will need to leave the subject...

Suppose he didn't have depression because of personal matters.
I assume that he is decided to go the c++ way because of the status of purebasic for the last 2 years.

At least that's what I get out of his post.

As far as I remember, looking at his opened code (spy3D, vscript etc.) he was coding on purebasic's limit.
Because of this, he sometimes needed to stay with a previous pb-compiler because some things didn't work anymore with newer ones.
Something like that can be really discouraging.

Bye Pedro and take care.

No need to leave Balrog... wait till v4.00 where the language will get so much
more mature. Coding in C sucks, man -- too much typing for my liking. :)
But it's your choice at the end of the day.

If anyone here has offended you, you need to get a thicker skin. Nobody I've
seen here is truly horrid by nature (except for one guy who shall be nameless,
and you didn't get any replies by him). Don't throw in the towel because of a
few differing opinions -- that's what life is all about. Not everyone is going to
agree with what you say or do. If they upset you, just tell them off and keep
going. Don't be a quitter man. I've have some real hard knocks in life and I
can tell you that what somebody says in an online forum is absolutely nothing
to get stressed over at all. It's such a small thing in the bigger picture of life.
Come to me with a REAL problem and I'll give you a sympathetic ear. :)
I compile using 5.31 (x86) on Win 7 Ultimate (64-bit).

I don't left PB for its limitations, and i don't left PB community only for some comments, i didn't feel nice to make programs (and other hobbies like music, role games, and more that i left some time ago), i continue with programming because VMM Basic is a commercial program and have registered users, i made to have some extra money because university studies cost a lot, i didn't wait a lot of sells, but any money is welcomed. Then you see people saying that icamplay is a good program, but vmm basic that is based on iCamPlay and it's integrated on a own language is super slow, is a copy of pb, is illegal... but nobody bought a shareware licence of iCamPlay (i did't wait somebody to buy a commercial licence, the commercial licence have an high prize because i don't want to sell the dll to a company), but on the first month of VMM Basic i sold six licences, i'm not really offended, but i will left PB to not have more problems of this style. This is my last post, thanks for your support and bye.

Okey, then I am updated with the history BalrogSoft. That's a shame, but I can understand some of the points.

But why leave the community? Even if I should code 100% in C++, I should post some messages here, now and then.

I also should be curious about what happened to Pure Basic.

It's a great community - one of the best!
