a Sad and Frustared day for me....

Post by Dreglor »

it is a sad and frustated for me, becasuse Japbe uninstaller whent haywire and deleted my work.
and those stuiped recovery programs do there job until you hit "recover files" when they popup with "You must buy me for the AMAZING PRICE OF JUST $69.99 befroe you can use this feature!".
i tried 3 before i found that the stuff i wanted to recover was lost :?
lucky that I backed up my work 2 days prior and i remeber what i changed that day.

Don't pay for an undelete app -- use Drive Rescue (freeware):

http://www.woundedmoon.org/win32/driverescue19d.html

I highly recommend it and have used it often. Supports NTFS too (even
though the page says "Incomplete"). All my drives are NTFS and it works.

Install it now before you need it, because installing it after a deletion can
damage the file(s) that you want to recover.
I compile using 5.31 (x86) on Win 7 Ultimate (64-bit).

BTW, that sounds like a serious bug in the Japbe uninstaller... I was thinking
of trying that app again but now you've scared me a bit. :) I do keep my apps
in a separate folder to PureBasic though, so it'll probably be okay.

did you install them in the same directory (japbe and purebasic)?
