half life 2 system requirements

Post by thefool »

Just wondering. Anyone here played hl2? Can i get a benchmark or something to see if my pc is good enough to play it without any proplems??

my sys-specs:
2000+ athlon XP
768 mb ddr ram (2700)
Radeon 9600XT with 256 mb ram

???Im looking at the internet but i cant find any answers. But i know that a lot says that the minimum requirements of 1.2 ghz and 256 mb ram is way to low.

But if there is any thing like taking my Aquamark score, or taking 3dmark score and comparing to a table could help me finding out if i should buy the game or not.?

I played it (and finished it) with all the details and gfx on full, it ran like a dream! The gfx are Utterly Jaw Dropping!!! :D Pity its so short and the storyline is a bit obscure.

im just worried about my processor, As for example, the processor tests in 3DMark are very very bad, but the gcard as triangles etc runs just fine.

You shouldn't worry.. Your CPU is almost the same as mine(XP2100+)
And you have twice the GFX memory.. And probably 8x AGP..
Mine is 4x... :?

Play all it with high settings 1024x768 (with no aa)
and it ran smothly until the battle parts with the striders i had to lower my res down to 800 for it to stop the skipping

p4 2.4
1 gig of ram
9100 radeon

kinda funny it runs so well
