Send Me your MP3s

Post by zapman* »

A site dedicated to the SoundEditor Project had been created:
http://www.freesoundeditor.com

I would like to add a page with musical creations from programmers. If you've made some and want to become (very) famous:
- give me an URL to your file if you've some (I'm afraid that those big files explode my box!)
- if you've not, send your file to seproject@freesoundeditor.com (but please, not 200 mb at one time!)

Any comments about the site are very, very welcome.

I'm looking for link exchanges. I you also do, mail me!

You can dowload the version 20 of SoundEditor from the site. It's not a major release but it includes a menu manager and a language manager that could perhaps interest someones.

The version of MonPiano available on the site does'nt yet include the midi sequencer (coming soon).

Thank you, Dare2.
Are you a musician ?

I did not yet receive any MP3 from this forum. I can't believe that nobody has done something that we could put on the SoundEditor Site. Come on, boys !!

Its a very usefull program. I think why nobody has given you an mp3 is, that its not many that can make music all by themselves, and if you remix a song, its not legally to distribute without owners accept.

I write music, but I am not a musician. :) Maybe when I have something I am not ashamed to share ...

Ok, here's a drum beat I made. The first one is before and the second is after putting it through SoundEditor.

Here's before and after. (178kb in size)

Basically added the following filters: Brilliance, Expander, and (very slight) Tremelo.

Cheers :D

That's Nice, J.Baker. I'm very proud that you begin to use SoundEditor to filter your sounds (even if they is not already a lot of exciting filters (but it will soon!!))
It seems that there is a very audible saturation in the "after" sound. Perhaps a too strong "brilliance" effect or a too high resulting volume level.
Do you compose music ?

Yes, more filters would be nice. :D

I'm working on a couple of tracks but mostly have just created small loops for the last two years.
