General IP Questions

Post by kcraft »

Is there a simple program already done in PureBasic that retrieves my external IP Address from my router? If not, can it be done with PureBasic.

external ip is determined by the remote server you connect to. So you cannot get your external ip unless you connect to a server wich sends you remote ip back to you. also myip.dk lets you see it.

There's some code here which might be of some use, I think is more in other places in the forum:

viewtopic.php?p=61612&highlight=ip+address#61612
If you paint your butt blue and glue the hole shut you just themed your ass but lost the functionality.
