This book, released in 1999 by SAMS Publishing, was a godsend to any Windows programmer, as it provided a never-before-seen peek under the hood of the Windows API. For BASIC programmers, anyway.

The most important aspect of the book is the many working examples that clearly illustrate the mechanics of the APIs.

An almost-indispensable textbook for any serious Windows programmer. Quite relevant even today. 8)
Texas Instruments TI-99/4A Home Computer: the first home computer with a 16bit processor, crammed into an 8bit architecture. Great hardware - Poor design - Wonderful BASIC engine. And it could talk too! Please visit my YouTube Channel :D

I still have my physical copy packed away somewhere. It was this 1996 edition -> https://openlibrary.org/works/OL2036098 ... _WIN32_API

I've got a small library in my office (but not very up to date)... I raise you Windows NT4.0 MCSE Core still in its original box and TechNet Plus on CD up to June 2002! :D
