Can't access this forum outside EU
Re: Can't access this forum outside EU
It's been about two weeks since the forum stopped working. I log in via VPN (Browsec). This is very difficult, as many forums via VPN do not work or work very slowly. I turn on the VPN to open the page, turn off the VPN to call the forum translator (s3 plugin), turn on the VPN to open a couple of pages, turn off the VPN to translate on the pages. If I opened the page after forgetting to turn on the VPN, then I am logged out of the account and I still need to log in to the account, and the pages open slowly. VPN programs on your phone include a bunch of ads and can initially give you one ad at a time with the option to turn it off, but then there are more ads and the button to close disappears, so you need to watch ads for 5 minutes to connect to the Internet.
I thought that it was only in our country that websites started to be blocked, and at some point the IP address was accidentally blocked and I thought that there was no point in talking about it, because if everyone had it, then the topic would have already been raised.

I'm in Germany and I can't visit this site with my Huawei P40. My Huwai P20 has no problem.
they use the same browser, same WiFi and same DNS.

Check this site to get many more information about your client: https://ifconfig.me/
I usually use it to retrieve client information from the terminal.

I am using the tor browser which has To Google Translate installed.
p.s. To translate the page completely, Google Translate does not require a login to your account.
Dawn will come inevitably.

Today on the phone works fine (for the first time in 2 weeks), opens pages instantly. The computer only works with VPN

I also used the Tor browser before, until I realized that it is the exact equivalent of Firefox + the plug-in VPN. The difference is that you need to transfer all the settings from Firefox to Tor and keep two monstrous programs in memory. But in Firefox, you can disable VPN, but not in Tor. Regarding the plug-in, the s3 plug-in can also translate a page, but it opens it in a new tab from a guest with a standard theme, and if I turn off the VPN, it will translate on the same page. I like it better when my theme is used. The VPN also makes it slow to work, if I turn off the VPN, I will receive the transfer faster. The plugin itself also has a lot of features, automatically translates subtitles on YouTube, and embeds a translation button under the comments on YouTube.useful wrote: Fri May 23, 2025 3:15 pm I am using the tor browser which has To Google Translate installed.

Just so you know the forum has gotten better for me. I can visit the forum without a VPN.
Re: Can't access this forum outside EU
I'm using Firefox ESR 115 latest version, on Windows 7 x64, from France, from ISP Free, and I get the 403 Forbidden page on www.purebasic.fr/english/
On my phone A52s 5G with Android 14 and Samsung Internet Browser it works fine.
By the way forums.purebasic.com has always been 403 Forbidden for me. I can see it in the Google results but can't access it.

Same here with Windows7 + Firefox 115. I understood, it's a bot treatment, so I pulled out an old machine to put linux on it. (Intel dual core 2 Ghz 8 G Ram)
The new linuxes starts their installer with kernel panic/ not enough memory. Changing bios settings did not help. I went down to older linux versions.
As this machine has no network card in it, I had to install a wifi stick driver. I was able to compile it, but the stick still did not work. Ended up installing a Win10 with firefox. I use that machine only to read this forum...

Re: Can't access this forum outside EU
I already told Fred a few times to change the redirection method to a "301 Moved Permanently" because only then Google would stop showing that old domain that does not work properly anymore since at least 10 years. If Google sees a permanent redirect it automatically adjusts its search index to the new domain and ignores the old one. If it is only a "302 Found" or "307 Temporary Redirect" it assumes that that redirect might change in the future and keeps that original domain in its index. The same holds true if it is a HTTP based redirect using a <meta>-Tag in the HTML header.bluefish wrote: Sat May 31, 2025 1:36 pmBy the way forums.purebasic.com has always been 403 Forbidden for me. May be you can try with another browser, Chrome 114 is old
Re: Can't access this forum outside EU
I'm in the US and I can access the forum from my work computer (laptop) running Windows 11 and the latest FireFox.
At home I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit SP1 on Intel Core i5-4590 and cannot access the forum.
However, on that the same PC I've installed Slackware 15.0 (VirtualBox) running FireFox 96 and have forum access.
Also installed Q4OS 8.5 (again via VirtualBox) running FireFox 140 and have forum access.
It just seems hit or miss. Is it an Anubis thing?
finchley
