How do I open a DOS help file?

I have a .hlp file but when I try to open it, I get "The [filepath] file is a DOS help file." I tried going into the command line and executing the file from there... but it did the same thing. How do I open it?

Hi,

you're shure, that it's not an old WIN-Help file?
if so, use winhelp yourfilename.hlp
If not, try help yourfilename.hlp from the dos command-prompt

I tried opening it with "winhelp", but then it just gave me the same error message. Not a windows help file. I tried "help" but it says it's not supported. Oh well... I don't plan on using Qbasic, anyway. It's too unstable and glitchy.
