Yes and if it can't give you the format you need then Super is a must have to convert to any format you want, or just take a cut of the audio as MP3. It really is super.
Remember we're still talking all free. 8)

Another nice freeware video editor comes from:
https://www.nchsoftware.com/software/video.html

They don't make it easy to find the free version:
https://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/vpsetup.exe

While you're there, be sure to check out their free audio editor:
https://www.nch.com.au/index.html

I'm using MKVToolnix, XMedia Recode and Handbrake. All free, of course. What's the reason to use anything else (talking about Windows)?

For me the main reason to use VirtualDub2 was the ability to use the (also free) Deshaker plugin.
I used that plugin to stabilize old 8mm film and it worked great.

I've got the "Deshaker.vdf" file in my "VirtualDub\plugins32" folder, so I must've used it in the past. This means "VirtualDub2" isn't needed to use it.

RJ TextEdit --Best most powerful text editor ever. Edit HEX to Unicode or anything. Convert text. Just check out the main menu bar. NotePad+ take a back seat. This thing is really amazing. Click the hamburger in the top right corner of this page for more full info:

Looks very promising. :D I like the idea of the graphic preview. Does the tool know the Purebasic syntax?

No PB Syntax by default.
Perhaps it can be added by using the included "Tools | Syntax Editor ..." Dialog.
Pete (phollyer) tried once. (see https://www.rj-texted.se/Forum/viewtopic.php?t=5433)
Just because it worked doesn't mean it works.
PureBasic 6.04 (x86) and <latest stable version and current alpha/beta> (x64) on Windows 11 Home. Now started with Linux (VM: Ubuntu 22.04).

Yeah, no PB syntax by default. PB is just not mainstream enough for that. But it is still really amazing for freeware. I thought EditPad was the most amazing freeware text editor until I met RJ-textedit: https://www.editpadlite.com/
Only issue I have with RJ is it is too complicated so I still have Editpad as a replacement for MS native NotePad. I'm still using v4.4.1 because I like old features better than the latest release. RJ text formatting capabilities are unmatched by any other app I have ever seen.

Just a small sample of some of it's conversion capabilities:
"change document encoding to about 13 different languages, plus dos and MAC.
I really can't give much example. You really need to just install and examine for yourself. If you don't like it I highly recommend freeware "Revo uninstaller" to remove it:
https://www.revouninstaller.com/
Cleanest uninstall I've ever seen. Its really good and never failed me even once.

You don't have a Mac, right?
Wish I could explain (in a few lines) what you can do BY DEFAULT JUST by using """bsd unix tools""" and applescript
…and the impressive amount of GREAT software that was made for Mac…
