Death of Blendman

Post by Demivec »

According to a scheduled and automated post in his blog Blendman has died.
This information is being shared from a thread revealing this news in the French PureBasic forum.

It is sad to hear of this news so recently after the death of another forum member, djes.

Blendman had given some warning to the advancing deterioration of his health in forum posts over recent years as he shared work on various projects. He, like djes will be missed.

More information can be found in his blog (in French).

I'm in deep pain,
I was more than once in contact with him about his graphic programming skills,
and his graphic designing work.
I didn't know he was so sick.

I was reading his blog,
For what I understand french ...
I'm so very sad about his live.

RIP Blendman, I love you and your work

Oh dear! How fragile and short life can be.

From his blog post, it appears that the condition was causing him a lot of pain for quite some time. The only consolation is that he's out of it now, and hopefully in a much better place.

RIP dear fellow. God bless your soul.

Wow, will you people stop dying please ... what the hell.
Didn't know him, but I read his goodbye on the blog, that's not the way to go...
Also when people is suffering and want to end it should be assisted in doing so and from what he wrote he was denied even that.
Really sad.

We lose a good programmer who was helping and friendly.
How old was Blendman?

I will try to use some of his sources, hold his work and name in honor.

It's unbelievable. I knew him mostly trough back and forth emails and he was always happy and nice. It's a great loss and I wish my best to his family and friends.

I'm starting from a translator and really sorry for my bad English

very sad news, after that which I myself announced... I did not know him personally, on the other hand I followed his work. We will miss you (an artist and developer at the same time). Just go see Djes I think you have things in common.

Biz to you and just a life

What he writes on his blog is terrible, terrifying and yet...
I knew him particularly as a coder on the French forum, but not personally.

My thoughts are with his loved ones.

RIP Blendman

That's tragic, Blendman was very talented and sad to read that he's gone. I didn't know he was suffering. It's such a terribly difficult condition to live with.

I too have hearing sensitivity and tinnitus, though it's something I can cope with and I also suffered chronic fatigue for a year and half post covid, I've had a remission since January this year but I do get the feeling it's slowly creeping back.

The hardest part of chronic fatigue catch all is that people don't understand what it is or what it's like and it can be really hard on one emotionally, the debilitation renders your body feeling like its made of lead, your totally exhausted all the time, you can't get decent sleep and all you can do is lay down to get any relief. The worst part personally was that you cant think or concentrate on anything, so there goes coding or reading. Any stress or to much physical activity exasperates the condition resulting in P.E.M (post exercise malaise) where you crash x times harder and your immune system starts attacking your body, you can literally feel your glands swelling and it also leads to inflammation which is what blendman was suffering from the most leading to debilitating headaches. I'm lucky my habit of choice is anti inflammatory so I didn't get the migraines which I suffered for around 25 years before finding a cure and I was also doubly lucky the root of my condition was caused by covid and I found a treatment. I eventually discovered nicotine reversed my symptoms.
Who'd ever think "Doctors prefer camel" was a sensible advert after all!

I wouldn't wish this condition on anyone. Life is fragile. To the young ones among us, go wild, live like there's no tomorrow because when the shit hits the fan you suddenly find you haven't got a tomorrow.

RIP Blendman, you were a shining star and you'll be missed!

Thanks for your post idle!
I read recently that nicotine tends to increase testosterone in most men which is our main survival and repair hormone.
Chewing tobacco actually reduced testosterone.
Of course, nicotine is also an easy stimulant.
The main come away is never stop searching for what your body needs to survive and flourish.

It is sad to read Blendman's blog where he felt no relief in sight.
