blueznl, I actually do have an old ZIP drive laying around. But that has a USB connection also.
So I can't get access to the USB devices under DOS. As far as I know.
And yes, I can access the drive in question with a DOS boot disk. But since my other drives are NTFS I have nowhere to copy the files I need to backup. I have an old program called Norton Ghost which runs in DOS, but I'm affraid it will copy the errors from the partition of the drive into the image file as well as the files. Might be wrong and please correct me if so is...
Can't really remember we EVER having a power outage here before. If so, it's been years ago so I winged it.
And I've used Partition Magic alot in the past and have never had any problems with it. That's why I didn't backup. BTW, the drive I'm having problems with IS my backup drive.
