GTK+2.0 for 3.90 ?

Post by USCode »

:?: Fred, do you plan on using GTK+2.0 for the 3.90 update or sticking with GTK+1.2 ? Seems like there are lots of nice features in GTK+2.0 that would allow the PB Linux port to keep up with the Windows version. :D
Thanks!

Yeap
That's the way I think too. Let's go for GTK 2.

Can I use GTK+ 2.0 with 3.91 Full?
Or is only 1.2 allowed?

The Gtk 1.2 commands can be used directly like the WinApi with an '_' at the end.
If you want Gtk 2.0 commands, you can open the Library directly with
OpenLibrary() and call whatever you want.

GTK 2.0+ is planned once the GTK1.2 is working perfectly. It willn't be for v3.91.
