Windows built-in antivirus

Post by jak64 »

Hello everyone,
I hope you're doing well.
I am posting this message to you because this morning, the integrated Windows antivirus (My version and 11 Pro) deleted a program that I wrote in PureBasic and that I have been using for several months, considering that it was a virus !!!
Probably following an antivirus update.
I had to go into the security settings to indicate that it was not a virus and I copied my program from a backup.

Have you ever had this problem and do you have an explanation?

THANKS

Do a forum search. This has been discussed so many times. Over and over.

You can send your program to MS so they can improve there detection. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/filesubmission

Thanks barryG and Fred.

I have difficulty searching on the forum because I am French and speak very little English (I use Google translation to post my messages).

For Fred:
Do I also say send the source code to Microsoft?

THANKS

Windows Defender's been quite a nuisance today for apps it was completely fine with before, so definitely a bad definition update made it out...

I'm submitting my executables to MS, and I urge everyone else to do the same using the link @Fred's posted ↑4.
