I used to always use Ubuntu. But it has become very big in the meantime and the GUI is no longer as nice.
I then switched to Mint-Linux which uses Ubuntu as the basis.
In the meantime I switched to Mint-Linux LMDE 6 if there is no more dependency on Ubuntu and the base is Linux-Debian.

No doubt it's probably easier to get PB running on known compatible systems. I like to do things the hard way.
Currently using Void Linux from a net install with very minimal XFWM. PB works well on it. So far!
Mind you, I'm not doing anything too ambitious, just trying to learn a bit about programming by creating a few small games and applications.
Maybe one day I'll be satisfied with what I've created and unleash them on here?
