It's done! Version 2.00 beta 1 Win-x86 now available.

I'm going to wait a little bit before upgrading the beta version to final version in case there are any bug reports.

I must confess I didn't quite understand the meaning of your question.

When you talk about conversion to HEIC, is this to compensate for the lack of HEIC files with EXIF metadata available to me?
If so, that's not what I want. I want files to be as "pure" as possible, unmodified by any software.
Sorry for confusing you. I just meant, take some jpeg with metadata and convert them into heic. "Pureness" aside, they should work too.
Good morning, that's a nice tnetennba!

Somehow you are right. I'm going to convert a few photos, just to see if there are any changes to the internal structure of the HEIC format that I might not have anticipated.

FYI, I have a HEIC file which does not respect the nomenclature defined by ISO and whose metadata can be read by some softwares.
I don't know how they do it, even ExifTool can't do it.
