checkinstall wants libgnome-2.0 which doesn't seem to be available in my package manager. I've seen a few posts from as far back as 2019 saying libgnome-2.0 is no longer needed, but checkinstall still wants it.
Anyone else running purebasic 6.02 on the linux mint version cited above? Did checkinstall ever complete successfully?
I can launch.sh the app but I'm wondering where it will die if checkinstall can't finish.
Just downloaded 6.02 for Linux, questions about checkinstall

Checkinstall is a bit outdated and is not needed if you have installed the required packages after the INSTALL file.
