The OGRE rendering engine
The OGRE rendering engine
Ive been looking at the OGRE site recently, it seems like a pretty good engine. My question is, could this be implemented without using the native PB 3d commands? What I mean is could it be interfaced manually through purebasic like you can with DirectX etc?
Mark my words, when you least expect it, your uppance will come...
Moonshine,
Possible ? Yes.
But I will not try ... what I mean is that it will not make so much difference in terms of results (performances and rendering), except if you are focusing on features that today's OGRE supported version in PureBasic does not interface.
Well, next release of PureBasic will certainly add some more features and I guess this will not be necessary to rewrite OGRE stuff.
Well, maybe you have a deeper look on this than I have. In such case I am interested to know more ...

I guess you can find your way doing some work with OGRE using PureBasic, even if it is DLL based.
