Windows 11 on ARM native planned?

Post by broozar »

Hi everyone, I haven't been here for a long time, and "arm" is not a good keyword to search for, so please excuse the question if it has been already answered.

I recently got a Volterra Dev Kit for Win11 on ARM(64) and was wondering whether there were any plans to make a native PB version for that architecture. I would also be available for building/testing if needed.

Best regards

There is no PB version for Windows Arm64 yet. Only for Linux Arm 32/64 (Raspberry and more).
But I assume that there will also be an Arm Windows version at some point.

Thanks for the replies, I will wait and watch. Just so you know, the x64 pb editor works fine emulated on WinArm64, including ASM and 3D, though 3D can be hit or miss. A native version at some point would be nice.

Intel/AMD processors are used more widely, but there are laptops and tablets with an ARM processor and Windows operating system.
Some Examples

In addition, for Raspberry PI 3 and 4 it is use Windows https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewforum.php?f=105

I tested Windows 11 on Raspberry PI 4.
It works fine (but a little slow).
PB 6.02 x64 started in x64 emulation mode.

I think it would be great if there would be a native PB for Windows ARM, because x64 emulation is slow.
And desirable support not only for Windows 11, but also for Windows 10.
