Hello everyone,

I have started programming in C after that I have switched to C++ but at that time I was not good at all. After that I have chosen PureBasic over BlitzBasic because I wanted to be able to create utility software as well as games. So back in 2003 I have started coding with PureBasic during my spare time while I was studying mechanical engineering at university.

My first project was a program that I have re-written from scratch I think 5 or 6 times because the code was so crappy. Simply because when you start you are at a certain level and when you finish your level has improved.

Best regards

I appreciate your comments Oso, Fangbeast, idle and Starbootics. It is interesting to read your thoughts on PB and programming in general.

On the program I'm working on now, my biggest takeaway is poor planning. Devil is in the details, and I found myself redoing a lot of stuff because I hadn't thought things thru. I will invest more time into this part for my next projects. Obviously, a thing that is given in professional projects, but as a hobby it is tempting to dive into the coding part a little too quickly.
