Good Starting point

Post by Killswitch »

I'm familar with other BASIC langauges and now that i've found PB I'd like to know if anyone can suggest a good starting project that will get me fimilar with the commands and syntax of this particular language; even if its something as mundane as 'hello world' X user input printer.

Thanks,
~I see one problem with your reasoning: the fact is thats not a chicken~

I've just started learning PB too, been on a day, and I'm using the Help file in the editor to find my way around... Though, you could look at www.purearea.net, it contains code and tutorials... though, the majority of source code examples dont work in the trial version of PB, and I've never looked at the tut's

Hope this helps

Killswitch,

It all depends on what you want to do.

I'd say browse the examples file to find something you like, then expand it.

First, go through the basic syntax and stuff. Then go through every page in the help files and look at functions. That's how I learned, and it took about a week.
