Good news:
All current (and future) library fixes can be directly downloaded with the SmartUpdate
tool in your PB directory.
So you can now do a quick up-to-date check by simply starting the tool
and pressing 'Receive Updateinformation' . And you can always be sure to
have all newest available files.
The files will also be put up one http://www.purebasic.com/update/
as it was before, for those who prefer that method.

PB Library fixes now also avaiable through SmartUpdate

Good news
Just one thing..... I did this before your post and saw the new function.... but it also decided to Downgrade the Visual Designer.... I had already Downloaded the latest version...3.90 build 1361 and the updater set it back to 1360.......
Maybe the updater should leave the file alone if the age is greater ?!
I have installed the 1361 again, but it would be nicer for the updater to leave alone later dated files ? No ?
What do you say ?

Well, it does that test. It should ask 'you have newer files on your computer, do you want to overwrite them?'
So i guess that VD build is actually older (in terms of file time) than the one
included in PB 3.90, that's why the tool didn't complain.
I'm sorry about that.. but how should such a thing be detected?

If you say 'Yes', it will overwrite every file that is different locally from the avaiable file.
If you say 'No', only files that are different from the remote version AND are
older than the remove version will be updated.
So in your case, by saying 'no', you would have kept your VD version.
You can always click the 'File list' button, to actually see which files will
be changed if you do the update.
And yes, it checks file by file.
