Doesn't happen to me... I assume you have ticked the "remember"
setting so you don't have to log on each time you visit this site?
If you have, then it's probably some sort of cookie-related problem
that you're having, so check your browser to ensure that you're not
blocking and/or deleting cookies from this site. What browser are
you using?

I use to access directly with my user profile because cookies work both on the server and my machine but this morning, not the first time, my cookie was sleeping ... I had to put my user / pass again.

I suppose from time to time server has a sort of reset somewhere ...

Try in Internet Explorer

Tools/Internet Options/Privacy/Advanced/Override Automatic Cookie Handling

This solved my login problems automatically.

Hi Fangs,

I'm using IE6 and don't have "Override Automatic Cookie Handling"
enabled... so it must be something else. I don't know what. :)

Hi PB. Try fiddling with the settings in that section. Particularly whether First Party cookies and 3'rd party cookies are set to 'accept'. Not use what the pb site qualifies as.

If they don't work, check to see if you have firewall or antivirus software that has cookie handling logic built in to reject cookies, might need some tweaking

Why? To fix what isn't broken? :) These forums work just fine for
me with IE6's default settings...

Over the past couple of days, I have been unable to connect to the forum because the number of users has been exceeded.

Any chance this number can be increased a little. ( boy this PureBasic comunitiy is growing fast ...)

Thanks

I am evaluating the costs involved in a major upgrade to the service I/we offer. If my finances cover the costs involved (and my wife okays it), I would ideally like to move to a more robust and faster service. I'd also like to migrate this forum to MS SQL Server 2000. Downtime on the advanced server has been 0 (zero) in the past twelve months! That *would* be nice :)..
