unsharp characters with editor in Windows 10

Everything else that doesn't fall into one of the other PB categories.

unsharp characters with editor in Windows 10

Post by wimapon »

Hi,
My new laptor uses window10 home... i have a high definition screen.
Purebasic editor gives unsharp characters while programming in the editor.
Can i do something to that... it is very tiring to make a program now......

Thanks

Hi,

I don't know 10 very well, but maybe you can change ClearType in the display settings.

Hi Bernd,
i did play a bit with clear thype in windows.
I makes no difference.

See this fotograph of the screen:[img] c:\fotoos\2016\purebasic\img_5626 [img]
(i hope this will work)

"Alle foto's weergeven" is very sharp
"PureBasic 4.51 (x86) " is reasonable sharp
"File Edit Project Compiler" is not sharp
"x = Xmin" and all other programming text is hardly unreadable....

Hm...

it looks like you use an other font in the PB editor.
So maybe you can try an other one:

'File'->'Preferences'->'Editor'->'Editing' and then 'Select Font'

In my case it is 'Consolas' 'Standard' '12'

you might also try cntrl + mousewheel in the editor. i don't know if it's the same as changing the font size in the preferences but it might be worth trying.

After some time, you will notice blurry text in some other applications. I had same problem, here is the fix:
