Did Fred announce something on this? I've seen a few posts referencing it, and a wishlist (it's been a while since I've checked the forum), but I can't find any post by fred saying anything about it.

Just curious if there was an official statement regarding it.

PB 4.0 is just a dream now for PB community, that's all.
Fred continues working, but i think he prefers to do well done things before show it to old and new PB users.

After 3.81, there will be 3.9, maybe a 3.91, and then... gues what! 4.0 gee, what a shock

The big question is: will it bring, what you all expect?

As far as i know, the goals promised for 4.0 still stand
There won't be a rewrite of the compiler though (as said in the past) that
is practically impossible. (think of the time that would take + all the bugs,
that come from a complete rewrite...)

Perhaps after 3.91 will be 3.99, then 4.00beta, then 4.00beta1... and so on...

and you don't have to type... Just hold your head 5 cm from the keyboard and think real hard - it's called "Typing by sence"... This works on PB today, but a bit slow - so you have to press your head real hard against the keyboard for about 4 hours / character - try it!!!
