Great stuff. Jaque Fresco was always thinking ahead of the times.
Unfortunately he didn't have the big resources to make a real impact, by taking a few billion dollars and actually
build such cities.
Anyway, he did what he could (and is still doing it), although at a much smaller scale.
Respect for this man, who will turn 100 years young, on March 13, 2016.
Seems like his ideas slowly become more publicity. The new generation is ready for it!

Thing is, such a big change consists of many smaller steps.
This is where I follow Elon Musk, see also: Every Elon Musk Video.
(Elon Musk => Paypal, Tesla, SpaceX, SolarCity, Hyperloop, OpenAI, ...)

Elon Musk shows what you can do if you have the (monetary) resources. You can make an impact, you can
force the change large-scale, in a very short period of time. But, you have to devote your life to it.
Life is too short, but with (almost) unlimited resources at hand, it is possible to force a big change within a few decades.

Big changes are coming. Sustainable energy, sustainable transportation on earth and beyond, autonomous transportation,
AI, space exploration and making human life multiplanetary to lower the risk of human/natural life extinction on earth.

Of course it's not clear yet that we win. Such projects (Venus, Tesla, SpaceX) give some hope, and other
projects (AI) are highly risky. At the same time, we still have wars and kill each other around the globe,
humans still die because of starvation - every single day!

More Action is required. Now, and as fast as possible!

Spread the word and ideas, and make every single person you know aware of it! Make it an evolutionary revolution! :)

It's coming, anyway.

I am registered at the venus project as a volunteer.
However i don't like Jaque Fresco very much, i like his visions, i dont like the fact that he is portrait as a modern jesus instead of a normal person. Unfortunatly the venus project is much like a cult.
However i am still registered because i like the visions and i would love to work on realizations with people. I would most likely not work directly at or for venus.

Currently i quit my job to pursue my own business. If it gets realy successfull i allready know what to do with the money...

No way of putting this without sounding like a naysayer, but as long as there are top-tiered primordial slime, our choices would continue to be influenced by the environment that they control.

And if that were true, the choice is not ours.

The reason this will never work is that it conflicts with privatization and hierarchy, both things like capitalism fortify. If it ever got capital to progress with it'd see the same fate as socialism. It doesn't really matter if the ideals make sense or not.

Look at the conflicts with wind and current farms, for example.. There are a lot of people who want improvement and change, but just not in their back yards..

Carl Sagan was a human race idealists who thought science and education were more important than capital economics and politics. The rest of these people are basically objectivists like Ayn Rand if you look at how the economics of their ideal world actually work.

If you look at the potential effect of a lot of these things they basically ostracize or liquidate certain classes of current society. What does someone who doesn't know calculus do in a world where every role that pays a living wage requires calculus for entry-level?

Interesting enough most objectivists don't meter well to their own ideals..
