Bitmap formats

I'm looking for E-documenton about all Bitmap formats (under MS, not file formats). I make some search but i didn't find all explanations i want.

Bitmaps have several format according MS OS version etc. I didn't find and understand all that with MS SDK documention.

Did a google search for "Bitmap specification" and found a few docs. This is the most useful looking one:
