The www.purebasic.com site is not available for me.

Everything else that doesn't fall into one of the other PB categories.

The www.purebasic.com site is not available for me.

Post by Kurzer »

Since one week or so the http://www.purebasic.com site is no longer available for me.

I changed nothing regarding my browser or OS, but after addressing http://www.purebasic.com with my browser (Iron portable, a Chrome clone) I get the following message:

It is nor possible to enter the site and I am not the only one with this problem. In the german forum there is a similar thread: http://www.purebasic.fr/german/viewtopi ... 13&t=29462

Have anybody an idea how to solve this problem?

By the away: When I try to reach the site with my smartphone (using android APUS browser) then there is not problem at all.

Sounds like that browser is crap, because if it works with other browsers... ;)

Tried it here with IE, Firefox, Opera, and Safari; and the site shows up normally for all of them.

It's because the purebasic.com site is now https only. I could change it to allow both if it creates some issues

People who only use HTTP work for the US government. Most of them just don't know it :D

Thank you fred, but it still doesent work for me.

I am not very skilled in this. Do I have to set up anything whithin my browser (impoting a certificate or so?)? Or do I have to update the browser? It's the chrome engine Version 44.0.2350.0.

Thank you in advance for helpful hints.

It's a browser issue. You can't do anything to "fix" it, except use a better browser. ;)

True, a browser should support SSL. I suppose you can't access gmail etc ?

I just tested it, should work (clear your cache before)

Thank you for the hint Fred. I erased all the browser data and now all went like a charm. :D
I thought hitting F5 (reload) would be sufficient for such cases, but apparently it's not.

In many browsers use CTRL + F5 to force reload.
(This will erase the datas for this page in cache and reload it)
