Hope this is on topic as this has to do with an old as dirt video game hosted by archive.org. and I see an opportunity to get a question answered.

I have a Logitech Dual Action USB gamepad connected to and recognized by my computer.
I have not been able to figure out how to control archive.org's Atari 800 Star Raiders Emulator using the gamepad.
The keyboard commands work fine, AFAIK the joystick input is not remapped, yet there is no response from any stick movements, analogs or D-pad.
I'm sure that it's something simple which has eluded me thus far, but at this point I have no clue.
Keep it BASIC.

I could talk all day about the 80s and 90s, but I'll just say this: I was still using old Apple and 186,286,486,PII boxes when most people were on 1Ghz PIII and P4 with Voodoo cards..

I remember old Apple computers at school with no networking just math and reading games(you'd burn your fingers on the numlock light). You could spread viruses over disks(that was networking because nobody could afford dedicated lines for BBS or gopher). I didn't know reverse engineering and advanced programming till 16bit.. I was too young.

Anyway, I only remember about 20 games being good up till the 90s.. Neuromancer and Civilization were my favs..
