PB 5.40 LTS - Preference window and small resolution

Post by StarBootics »

Hello,

On small screen resolution like 1366X768, the button at the bottom of the preference window are off screen and obviously it's impossible click on them to apply any changes in the setting.

The alternate method :
1. Close the IDE
2. Open the Preference file with Gedit, make the change and save
3. Restart the IDE

It's little bit a pain in the a*&*%$ to do it that way.

PB 5.40LTS x64
Ubuntu Gnome 15.04 x64

Best regards

Well, you will need to select a smaller font then, or increase the resolution.

The font is already small. Increasing the resolution is impossible simply because my Laptop don't support higher screen resolution. What about using a ScrollAreaGadget() instead ?

IMHO that is not a solution. I have the same problem here. The preferences dialog in 5.31 was ok, but now it has a lot of obvious design errors. I guess you have changed it to the dialog layout. Most of the errors are caused by line-breaks in labels which are simply not necesary. Other gadgets like comboboxes or textboxes are blown up in height which is neither system conform nor pretty :?
