I had the same problem again. I was working on a post, and when I tried to submit it, I was directed to the Login page. I was taking so long to write it that I got logged out. But my posts are how I get my thoughts organized. My wife is the only person I routinely see for days on end, and nobody of my acquaintance is into computers [much less programming) like I am. And I often stop writing a post while I search the Help file or internet for more information. So this takes hours and I get logged off.
Now you can do a Select All and copy your complete post to the clipboard before hitting Submit, or if you hit Submit first and go to the Login page, don't login. Use the Back button on your browser and go back to your post. Now you can do the select all and copy to the clipboard. Then go forward and login. It says it is returning you to where you where, but this will be just blanks. Do a paste, enter your title again, and now hit the Submit button.

has-been wanna-be (You may not agree with what I say, but it will make you think).

You can also keep a simple word processor open and work from there, posting only the completed text into the forum and adding any additional things like formatting for code and such.oldefoxx wrote:And I often stop writing a post while I search the Help file or internet for more information. I have run into a similar problem (having to re-login) when I had to postpone finishing a post for various reasons, sometimes to test code. But the problem I usually run into is that 5 people have posted shorter messages in the meantime and the issue was resolved by the time I completed my post.

Also, there are form recovery addons, e.g. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefo ... -recovery/
