My tool doesn't work on some Linuxes

Hello!

I am working on a linguistic OpenSource tool to be used with OpenOffice, LibreOffice, Thunderbird and Firefox.

I received a report regarding V1.0 which takes almost 40 minutes to open the Italian Thesaurus (and the listbox text gets corrupted) in Linux while on Windows it takes around 20 seconds and on my Ubuntu 13.04 running in a VM it takes around 7 minutes.

I tried running it on Commodore OS 1.0 beta (x64) which is Mint or something like that and it seems to halt while opening the Thesaurus (Procedure load_thesaurus())

I believe there is some sort of bug regarding linux.
