Hello,
I'd like to know if you know a service in which you enter your business' address and they will register it on google maps and some navigation systems. What I've found so far was only easymyinfo.net, but this doesn't look very serious, does it? If you search for it, you'll find spam emails about it on wikileaks and so on, but no serious customer reviews.

Click on "Get on Google", enter the address of your business. Since it probably won't find it, it gives you the option to add full details.
I don't know how long it takes them to verify this, but eventually it should end up on Google Maps.
Another important point is that you write down the address on your business website. Google should be smart enough to catch this.
Also consider some tips pointed out on that site.

Thanks, but that's only Google Maps. I need it on tomtom, Garmin, ..., too. I've read that NAVTEQ mapreporter and teleatlas are necessary for this, but I'm unable to register on mapreporter. Do you know how to do this?Shield wrote:https://www.google.com/business/

A quick search revealed the following website for TomTom: TomTom Business Owner Platform. I guess other vendor have similar forms. It might also help if you add your address to the OpenStreetMap.DarkDragon wrote:Thanks, but that's only Google Maps. I need it on tomtom, Garmin, ..., too. [...]
But are you sure these vendors are still relevant (at least in the near future)? Because today your smartphone is the navigation system -- for "free". And as Shield said Microsoft, Google etc. automatically crawl the internet for new addresses, so if you have posted it on a website it should be incorporated sooner or later anyway.
If any of you native English speakers have any suggestions for the above text, please let me know (via PM). Thanks!

Thanks you two. What did you search to find these pages? I always ended up in pages like these:
http://www.gpsreview.net/how-to-correct ... map-error/
http://www.blaupunkt.com/de/servicesupp ... nmaterial/
All about NAVTEQ and Teleatlas, no direct method to register at a navigation company.

Yes, because the customers may have embedded navigation systems in their cars or similar. And then they are not using their smartphone for it.c4s wrote:But are you sure these vendors are still relevant (at least in the near future)? ...find the manufacturer's website, then search that. I think TomTom and Garmin are the market leaders in the UK, possibly the rest of Europe too? Navman are a big company but have a small share of the car market and it seems you can't add business locations to their system. There are more companies providing maps than there are providing hardware.
