Happy 1 year!!!

Post by DriakTravo »

I have been programming with PureBasic for 1 year today! Horray! I started making webpages via HTML back in 1998 then I learned FLASH Actionscript, then Darkbasic in Jan.03 then I started learning Purebasic 1 year ago. :D Now I look forard to studing Java and C++ in the future. Thank you PureBasic for starting me down the O.O. programming path!

I think that wouldn't be good, because you only would travel into past. So that means: Waiting still longer! ;)

hey i thought time slows down as you travel closer to the speed of light, its called time dilation. so if you traveled at the speed of light for 7 months, about 10 times that would elapse on earth. so actually, people on earth would have been programming ALOT longer than you had with PB. i know i remember a thought experiment about two twins, one of which flies at the speed of light for 1 year and returns to earth to find his twin like 70 years old. if i remember correctly, as you approach the speed of light, mass becomes infinite, length approaches zero, and time for the traveler slows down. so theoretically, youd be the BIGGEST PB programmer and the shortest too. 8O

Code: Select all

!.WHILE status != dwPassedOut
! Invoke AllocateDrink, dwBeerAmount
!MOV Mug, Beer
!Invoke Drink, Mug, dwBeerAmount
!.endw

as far as i have learned when you hit the speed of light you time stops around you but you are still in "regular" time so the 7 months would pass instantly on earth and i would be 7 months older :) (with my mass being infinity and lenght zero too)

now another theroy sugguests that if i was going faster time would be going in reverse out side (would that mean i weigh nothing and i am inverted O_o)

very odd.

time travel is a very confusing subject with all of its "if you did this and the result was that you never when back in time what would happen?"...

And it is all very relative.

Are you going at the speed of light? Or is everything else?

And if you're in your car when you're at the speed of light, but you're stationary relative to you, then ..

.. what happens when you turn on the headlights?

If they shine does that mean their light is going FTL to everyone else?
