[SOLVED] console standard colors

Post by es_91 »

Hi.

I am preparing a PowerPoint presentation about the Disc Operating System MS-DOS.

Trying to color my presentation in typical MS-DOS color schemes (light grey and black) i wondered... did these 16 colors palettes do a light grey with 192 of 255 red/green/blue values or 191 of 255 R/G/B?

How is it today? Has anything changed? The Windows 7 command prompt provides standard colors with the higher value, like 192, and they seem to see values like 64, 128, 192 as standard rather than 63, 127, 191 and 255. But the latter seems more logical to me, anyway...

What was the real standard?

/edit: cmd.exe >> right-click on the title bar >> Properties gives the answer: 127 is 128 and 191 is 192, but 0 is 0 and 255 is 255.

Solved.
