Hi

I like PB for the following reasons to name a few:

1) Easy to learn
2) Small fast executables without external dependencies.
3) Easy to make reliable Windows Services. I run host authorization services that run 24x7 to authorize fuel sales without a hiccup.
4) Easy to interface directly with Windows COM Objects. I use it all the time with Visual FoxPro COM objects.
5) Good forum. I found an experienced user who helped me get my 1st VFP COM object working.
6) Multi-platform
7) Inexpensive
8) Actively developed
9) Remote debugging
10) Fast compilation
11) Ability to include ASM for more speed

Well, everything that Simon says, plus: PureBasic is an absolute joy to use!

If it sounds simple, you have not grasped the complexity.

The greatest price goes to this community.

Without it, PB don't have this sucess!

All the members around the world help each other... I've never seen this before.
Imho that is the reason, why PB is the greatest solution to make own software
on three platforms.

I think Purebasic is great because every so often a picture of Fred or Freak gets posted and then I'm reassured that at least I'm better looking than somebody somewhere...

Are you serious?

EDIT: Yes, it´s ironic or sarcastic, but I think this on the wrong side of borderline.

I think that was a little harsh Danilo. It is better to just ignore someone you doesn't like than to downtalk them like that. He might be one of the younger member here facinated by all that stuff and therefore the need to talk about it, I've been there my self, but it doesn't mean that he is stupid.
I like logic, hence I dislike humans but love computers.

PureBasic is great, because it's an easy-to-learn mighty language and compiler!

When you join the forums here it's not long before you feel like you're among friends. That's a thing of value indeed and rare enough to find these days. So it's ok to lighten up a bit now and then. Berikco once changed my rank to 'Purebasic Doofus' for 24 hours, I don't remember why. But it's one of my best memories of this place.

It is great because development is not stagnant.
Best wishes to the PB community. Thank you for the memories. ♥️

I don't think Purebasic is great, because when you start coding in it, other languages start to look ugly/complicated/perverted
