Hi all
I have a DSL internet connection. I share it with my computer and the one of my neighbor. I use a computer as a router (software router) for the internet connection. Now i need a programme, which counts how much data traffic was consumed by each computer. Is there a (free) solution for that problem?
Thanks! merendo

Hey merendo, can you view my topic and tell me if this is something you did in a similar way with your software router?

Well, dunno, err, no. I use a USB-Modem to connect to internet, use a software router (Other computer using the Iconnection are connected to my PC thru a switch which is connected to my machine via RJ-45 NIC).
But, well, let me think. It's hard to do this. But if you give each of your NICs another IP-Adress (which you have to do, otherwise you're gonna have a problem
). Then you should tell your PPP driver to connect thru one NIC and active IC-Share for the other IP/other NIC. And then, of course, you must set the correct gateway on the other computers, which shall use the IConnection.
Perhaps it works this way, i am not quite sure, if it does. Good luck!
