New website for Basic programmers

Post by GWS »

Hi folks,

Just thought you might like to know about a new website that's just started, for Basic programmers. :)

There are only a few members at the moment, but it's clear PureBasic is highly regarded. Unfortunately there have been no posts in the PureBasic section as yet. :(

Why bother? - well this Forum does not accept application uploads because of the risk of viruses.
That means as someone who programs as a hobby, and likes to share my little offerings with others, I can't do so.

The new site CodeinBasic can at the moment accept file uploads of up to 3 Mbytes. You'd be welcome to check it out ..

http://www.codeinbasic.com/index.php

All the best, :)

Graham

What about Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive & Co?

Original post reported as Spam due to "only purpose is to advertise another website".

It has to be the most unfriendly programming site I've ever come across.
Wow, just because one member reports your post, the whole PureBasic forum is unfriendly? I think that's pretty unfair. Usually we have a very good reputation for being helpful and friendly... ;)
If any of you native English speakers have any suggestions for the above text, please let me know (via PM). Thanks!

Well the forum here does have a rule NOT to advertise other websites.
So naturally I flagged it according to the rules here. If that was wrong,
then that option needs to be removed from the flag selection.

You should provide a link to that rule to highlight it to him. I can't find it.

Thanks PB - no offence intended.

I just hope anyone who pops into the Code in Basic site, enjoys what they find.

Not a lot at the moment it's true, but it's very new .. :D

I shall continue to visit this site, but I'll probably avoid posting.
I'm the wrong side of 75 now, and can do without controversy. :)

Best wishes, :)

Graham
