Trying to use the sound function and get data while playing

how do it work, does it get data by looking at the memory where the Channel Buff is located as its updated ? can someone show what the code look like or validate this theory ?

I'm trying to get data from a memory location that a sound engine created and use that location to get data by running through the memory.

is this how its done ?
